Applications such as grated cheese formerly packed in OPA/PE structures can now be packed in full PP solutions:

  • Possibility for design for recycling – PP-based solution, e.g. OPP/low S.I.T. CPP
  • Special medium barrier structure
  • Fastest sealing initiation at 75°C – depending on the machine up to 100 cycles/min.
  • Pasteurisable alternative available, sealing as of 105-110°C
  • Reduced packaging weight & plastic used by ca. 10% (assumpt. 58µm vs. 65µm)
  • Haze value of 6% allows for optical enhancement vs. OPA/PE solution
  • Low COF – ideal for flowpack machines
  • Thickness ranging from 30-100µm

Our range of low S.I.T. CPP sealing films convinces with their ultra fast and reliable seal, allowing for these PP films to be used for high speed packaging lines. This makes them the preferred choice for food producers aiming to meet recyclability goals.

Convertible into flow pack and lidding applications our low S.I.T. films are available with barrier (BarrTec range) and without (Protec range) and are intended to be laminated to BOPP.

However, they can be laminated against all commonly used substrates in the industry and can also be used as single film for lidding and flowpack applications.
