What is CrystalPE?

CrystalPE is the new generation of mono-oriented Polyethylene (MDO-PE) films by adapa.

It commonly serves as a printing layer and can be converted into all kind of common flexible packaging types like lidding films, flowpacks, doypacks.

Available in transparent, matt and metallised.

Handling in production
Don’t be afraid to stress our film! Recommended unwinding tension can be even up to 13 kg for each meter of width, e.g. width 1000mm > 13kg.

Production speed
Let’s reach top speed! A worldwide known Italian machine manufacturer used CrystalPE during the ERA (European Rotogravure Association) Packaging & Decorative Conference 2022 to demonstrate the printing capabilities and performance of MDO-PE. Top speed reached: 600 m/min on a 9 colour rotogravure machine.

Convenience for the consumers
Linear-tearing: As the orientation takes place in machine direction an easy-opening function for bags and sachets is no problem, the laminate tears along a line.
