Mert Mete Lakerta

Leading Sustainability, R&D and Quality, Mert has over 20 years of experience in business unit, operations, quality and project management. He is proficient in strategic planning including business expansion, acquisitions, change management, revenue recovery, and organisational redesign. Starting in the automotive industry with key roles at Aptiv and Yazaki, he joined adapa Group in 2020 with a focus on operational excellence and innovation.
At adapa, Mert initially led Operations in the South West region, driving strategic initiatives and managing P&L for multiple plants. He then established and headed the Group Quality organisation and took on additional responsibilities, managing the R&D and Sustainability departments.
Mert holds an MBA and MSc in Mechanical Engineering. His expertise in lean manufacturing and intercultural leadership has been crucial in aligning our company goals with global standards, achieving exceptional outcomes and fostering innovation.
