Focus on innovations

Day in and day out, every adapa employee contributes his/her experience and expertise in order to break new ground in the flexible packaging industry. Our R&D sites and teams are helping our customers to develop innovative, sustainable solutions.

The R&D Centers

We operate state-of-the-art research centers and quality labs in Finland, Germany, and Denmark. In addition, there are local centers of excellence for pharmaceutical, aroma protection and food applications which are used on group level for the exchange of knowledge and for collaboration.

Collaboration

Our employees closely collaborate with food science and food law specialists, polymer chemists, technicians, process and packaging engineers. For our customers, we regularly organise innovation workshops. In our PackScience Center in Kempten, Germany, we involve our customers in the development process. Here, packages are designed and tested and packaging processes are simulated and optimised. Additional services include the manufacturing of mock-ups, tool design, laboratory analyses and special trainings.
