THE MISSION Waste Report 2024
The packaging industry is moving towards a circular economy, driven by new EU regulations aiming for a 15% reduction in packaging waste by 2040, compared to 2018. With packaging waste still at high levels – Germany at 19.7 million tons – innovative solutions are more crucial than ever. From 2030, many single-use plastics will be phased out, and recyclable packaging will become the new standard.
Futury’s The MISSION Waste Report 2024 dives deep into the different challenges and highlights the outstanding solutions being developed by start-ups to drive this transformation.
