Moving away from PET/PE laminate structures?

MonoTopʳᵉ P-type and C-base HT offer a fully aligned, PP-based top and bottom film solution for MAP fresh food packaging.

Peelable or lock-seal sealing is available, with the peel layer configurable on either the top or bottom film depending on application requirements. C-base HT ensures reliable thermoforming performance on conventional machines.

Together, they deliver a mono-material PP packaging structure with EVOH content below 5%, Designed for Recycling in line with PPWR requirements for 2030.

The legal framework: The PPWR legislation

With the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation now in force, packaging producers face a clear deadline to transition to recyclable structures. For those still running multi-material structures, the clock is ticking. MonoTopʳᵉ P-type and C-base HT offer a direct transition path: fully aligned PP top and bottom films, Designed for Recycling (D4R) according to CEFLEX guidelines, with no compromise on barrier or sealing performance.

MACHINE COMPATIBILITY

  • C-base HT is developed for reliable processing on conventional thermoforming machines, with high clarity and stable performance on standard thermoforming lines.
