Flexible packaging solutions
for a circular economy

A new era for packaging

The packaging industry is in the midst of a transformation. As regulations evolve and consumer expectations rise, we must address shifting guidelines, Scope 3 emissions, and mandatory recycling goals. Our sustainability strategy, Adapting today for tomorrow, expresses our commitment to shaping a more sustainable future through every decision we make in this changing landscape. By reducing our environmental footprint and designing circular solutions, we take responsibility for navigating these complexities—ensuring that our packaging not only meets the challenges of today but contributes to a better tomorrow. We can help.

Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR)

The new EU standard: PPWR

As a member of different task forces and advocacy groups, we gain first-hand knowledge to guide our customers through the 370+ pages of the PPWR and the 70+ delegated acts that will follow. We have elaborated on a few consequences of the PPWR here.

Eco-modulated (EPR) and SUPD fees

The right packaging can lead to significant savings on extended producer responsibility (EPR) or single-use plastic product (SUP) fees. We monitor the development of these fees across Europe and partner with our customers to make fact-based decisions.

2026-2030: Our roadmap for a sustainable future

Our best for our climate and environment

We have committed to the Science Based Targets initiative and intend to submit a GHG emissions reduction roadmap by 2027. We also aim to reach zero operational waste to landfill by 2027 and ensure all production sites are OCS Europe-certified for pellet loss prevention by 2030. Our ambition is for all our sites to achieve EcoVadis and/or Sedex ESG ratings.

Our best for circularity

We’re reimagining packaging by ensuring every product category is Designed for Recycling by 2027. By 2030, we’ll reach a minimum of 10% PCR in contact-sensitive and 35% in non-contact-sensitive plastics. Our foundation today, as of 2025, 100% of our paper and cardboard is already sourced from accredited suppliers and certified sustainably managed forests (FSC or PEFC).

Our best for value chain and consumers

We are securing a responsible future by ensuring a minimum of 80% of raw material sourcing comes from EcoVadis ESG-rated suppliers by 2027. We remain dedicated to total consumer safety, maintaining zero customer complaints on incidents that could endanger consumer health and safety across our entire value chain.
