Max Wolfmaier joins German Packaging Award Jury 2024
Max Wolfmaier, Head of Product Sustainability at adapa, has been honoured with an invitation to join the jury of the prestigious German Packaging Award 2024 by Deutsches Verpackungsinstitut (dvi).
Now in its 47th year, the award is a cornerstone in Europe, noted for its independent, high-quality jury. The awards ceremony will take place on 24 September 2024 during FACHPACK in Nuremberg, Germany, highlighting the most innovative packaging solutions of the year.
From Award 2022 to Jury Membership 2024
In 2022, our innovative product, VACUshrink(re) MEX 55, was lauded in the “Sustainability” category of the German Packaging Award. This product is a prime example of a more sustainable alternative to conventional packaging: The shrink bag with a high barrier, which is suitable for packaging meat or cheese, does not require the usual cross-linking. This PE-based, recyclable pouch is free from PA layers or PVDC barriers and can be easily processed on conventional equipment. adapa Germany Kempten has started the production of shrink bags more than 40 years ago.
The German Packaging Award 2024
The German Packaging Award is the largest European platform showcasing excellence in packaging design and innovation. Designers, developers, manufacturers or users of innovative packaging solutions are invited to submit their best products, concepts, developments or prototypes. The submission is open to national and international entities, including companies, institutions and individuals, and ends on 31 May 2024.
An independent jury will recognise outstanding achievements in ten distinct categories, ensuring a comprehensive showcase that accommodates every type of innovation and solution within the packaging industry.
